Charity Trust

Driven by an unwavering resolve, a dedicated committee was formed to carry his vision forward. On 29th October 1948, The G. Kuppuswamy Naidu Charity Trust for Education and Medical Relief was formally registered — bringing the founder’s dream to life.

The Trust was founded by those closest to him — his brother Sri. G. Venkataswamy Naidu, maternal uncle Sri. R. Bhima Naidu, trusted friend Sri. P. S. Pallikonda Ayyar and Sri. S. M. Kuppuswami Chettiar, and his sons Sri. G. K. Devarajulu, Sri. G. K. Sundaram, Sri. G. K. Govindaswamy, and Sri. G. K. Rajagopal.

Mr. R. Gopinath is an MBA graduate from Pennsylvania State University and holds a B.S. in Textile Management and Marketing from Philadelphia College of Textiles & Science. He brings vast experience in the textile industry and currently serves as Trustee and President of the Kuppuswamy Naidu Charity Trust for Education and Medical Relief. His professional interests span digital marketing, product innovation, value creation, manufacturing, and engineering, reflecting a career built on both industry expertise and forward-looking business strategy.

Mr. R. Gopinath

Mr. Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu holds an MBA from Philadelphia University, USA, and serves as Chairman and Managing Director of Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd., Coimbatore. LMW ranks among the world's three leading textile machinery manufacturers, producing a complete range of textile spinning machinery. Beyond textiles, LMW's business interests extend into CNC machine tool manufacturing, foundry operations, and an advanced technology centre that manufactures components for the aerospace industry, reflecting diversified industrial leadership.

Mr. Aditya Krishna Pathy serves as Deputy Managing Director of The Lakshmi Mills Company Limited, a textile manufacturing company producing yarns and fabric. He graduated with a BA in Business and Management from the University of Exeter, United Kingdom. His role bridges international business education with hands-on leadership in one of Coimbatore's established textile manufacturing enterprises, contributing both operational insight and strategic direction to the organisation's continued growth.

Mr. Aditya Krishna Pathy

Mr. S. Pathy is a commerce graduate with more than 45 years of experience in the field of textiles and textile machinery. He serves as Chairman and Managing Director of The Lakshmi Mills Company Limited, and holds a directorship on the Board of Lakshmi Machine Works Limited. He is also Vice-Chairman of Lakshmi Card Clothing Mfg Co. Pvt Ltd., reflecting decades of leadership across multiple facets of the textile manufacturing industry in Coimbatore.

Mr. S. Pathy

 Mr. D. Vijay Mohan, born in 1947, is an engineer by profession. He obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1969 from the erstwhile Madras University, followed by a Master of Management Sciences Degree from the United States in 1972. His combined technical and management education has shaped a career grounded in engineering discipline alongside strategic organisational understanding, contributing valuable perspective to the Trust's governance.

Mr. D. Vijay Mohan

Mr. R. Jagadish Chandran is a textile graduate with more than 53 years of experience in the textile industry. He serves as Chairman of Premier Mills Private Limited, headquartered in Coimbatore, which employs a dedicated workforce of over 5,000 people. He is also the former Chairman of the South India Mills Association, bringing extensive industry leadership and long-standing sectoral expertise to his role as Trustee.

Mr. R. Jagadish Chandran

Dr. Jairam Varadaraj is the Managing Director of Elgi Equipments Ltd. and serves on the boards of Elgi Ultra Industries Ltd., Elgi Rubber Co., Magna Electro Castings, Precot Meridian Ltd., and Thermax Ltd. A third-generation entrepreneur from the illustrious LRG Naidu business family, he has led the organisation's interests in textiles, polymers, mechanical machines, and consumer appliances for nearly 30 years, having earlier taught and researched in the United States.

Dr. Jairam Varadaraj

Mr. Ashwin Chandran is Chairman and Managing Director of Precot Limited, Coimbatore. He graduated with a B.Sc. (Hons) in Textile Technology from UMIST, UK, and holds an MBA from the University of Illinois, USA. He currently chairs the Southern India Mills Association and is a member of the CITI Cotton Development and Research Association, reflecting active leadership within India's broader textile industry community.
